It’s been a few months in the planning and now we’re able to BBQ outside the Moveable Feast 🙂 We’re having combined festivities as we kick off BBQ season at Silva Bay Marina and celebrate Canada Day from 4-8 pm on July 1st. And just as exciting, we are bringing music back to Silva Bay Marina with members of Rockson Road playing live.
Back when our 1969 Airstream trailer was brand new folks would invite family and friends to join them at the campground. I remember it well when, as a kid, my dad would see an Airstream parked a few sites over and take me along to meet the owners. I was too young to understand what all the fuss was about, but I got that Airstreams were in a class of their own and my dad was longing to trade in the Terry trailer for a Land Yacht. What I do remember was being invited over for burgers and maybe a marshmallow or two while everyone gathered ’round the fire to sing a few songs. I still love that idea and think that food and music are a perfect duo.
The Moveable Feast will be offering a very traditional BBQ this July 1st with a choice of Beef, Chicken or Vegan Burgers on a toasty bun, salads, condiments, and lots of napkins! Come celebrate together with community members, family, friends, and visitors to Gabriola. I know the music will be amazing and there might also be some special celebrations on the water.
